Phoenix Rising Bodywork Reopens October 1st!

Many different cultures have a tradition of sandpainting, particularly Mandalas, (def. “circles”) that in Buddhist and Hindu cultures symbolically represent the Universe and are used to focus the mind in meditation and assist in healing.  Some sand mandalas take weeks to complete, then are prayed over and ritually erased to demonstrate that nothing is permanent: beauty is ephemeral and everything changes. The sand is released in a moving body of water for purification.  Here, the ocean will soon come and wash the beach clean again.

This year has brought great change in my Life.  Many of you know that I severely injured my wrist this Spring.  I had a car accident, my “Mom” moved to Mexico, a good friend lost his young daughter and on September 8th, my Father passed away.   As I mourn my Dad’s passing, I also have great gratitude that he and I had the chance to reconcile five years ago and share many loving conversations since then.

Like this sand Mandala says, we can choose Gratitude and appreciation for even profound challenges in Life, for deep transformation can occur as we come to terms with them.  I can honestly say I feel a greater sense of peace now than I ever have.

In August I underwent surgery on my wrist and have had a miraculous recovery!  On October 1st I will officially reopen my healing practice.
I so look forward to seeing each of you and helping you find more harmony in your body, in your Circle of Life.
